Slug. Out of nowhere to annihilate my senses. Captivating and immersive, thoughtful and passionate, but encompassed in a storm of darkness. Again, reminiscent of mid-era Blaze of Perdition, Gaerea, and Sisyphean. Fuck yes!!! Favorite track: Greatest Of All Species.

warren barton Once you listen your hooked and become part of ColdCell, be part of this nightmarish sound assault. Its a bleak soundtrack to what is evil inside humanity,a darkened vision of what's to come, perfect record for these horrible times. Favorite track: Those.
Fraz

Fraz This is one of my favourite releases of 2021 so far (April). Captivating Black metal with industrial, dark wave, post vibes at times. This style of music is what I am enjoying listening to the most right now. Fantastic band, firmly on my heavy rotation playlist. Epic. Essential. Now.

YomaBarr YES. Hell yes. Glory be. Relief. I'm still ColdCelled ❤

Yoma's Law: when I'm all stoked about stuff to come the stuff, in most cases, sucks. Thanks demons there are exceptions. Wonderful, strong, immersive, terrifying, to get lost in exceptions. The message is strong af too.
Can't say if this is better or worse than Those. It would be like choosing between Mgła's Age and Exercises.

p.s. maybe I went deaf with excitement but I can hear no synths... million guitars, yes.

What a glorious album!! Worth the wait, haunting synths and unapologetic lyrics. Those drums are obviously the work of a mad man!

about

We are born from a ColdCell. Only to become part of a dying species, facing extinction by its own egoism, intolerance and emotional bleakness.
“The Greater Evil” is a heavy heartbroken ode of despair to the futile selfishness of mankind. The reckless disregard for nature and humanity alike. Mankind's sacrifice of reason for the greater evil.
We are extinction’s advocates.
